Available in a comprehensive range of profile sizes and in 2400mm lengths. The choice of dimension enables FR sprinkler boxings to conceal fire sprinkler pipework and fittings in a range of different pipework configurations.

The sizes provided in the table below are indicative ‘standard’ profile dimensions only, as all FR sprinkler boxings are manufactured and supplied to the exact sizes required for each project.

Installation is a simple and straightforward process that requires only two timber battens, which are fixed to the wall or floor, allowing the FR sprinkler boxings to be secured using screw fixings.

Cutting to length on site and drilling to accommodate fire sprinkler heads is also a simple ‘on-site’ procedure. When running lengths are butted end to end or where they join flame retardant internal and external corners, it is recommended that an intumescent mastic sealant is used to ensure the integrity of the boxing.

Where the flame retardant boxing’s vertical and horizontal legs abut the fabric of the building (ceiling & wall), please consult the fire officer for guidance and to obtain the correct mastic specification.

A full range of dedicated fire sprinkler boxing accessories is available, which includes internal and external corners, joint covers and stop ends. These are manufactured from the same flame retardant Euroclass B compliant material as our FRSB products and are coated with BS EN Class B s1 d0 paint.

In addition to being flame retardant, all our FR sprinkler boxings are manufactured from moisture resistant FSC® certified MDF. By using materials from sustainable and managed sources our products are not only covered by Forest Stewardship Council certification, but they also help specifiers, contractors and buyers comply readily with their own sustainable procurement policies.
